BOELAMIEN SAFARIS: Where you and Mother Nature become one.

Boelamien Safaris is situated in the heart of the South African bushveld on the Botswana border.  A mere 5 hours drive from Johannesburg where nature displays the unspoiled wonders of Africa and John and Mariana Williams await to welcome you to their relaxing and friendly oasis in the bush.

The camp at Boelamien Safaris is situated on the banks of the mighty Limpopo River, a playground for Hippos and Elephants, where magnificent sunsets are painted by Mother Nature against the backdrop of the majestic Baobab tree.

Enjoy the ultimate wildlife experience by relaxing next to the blazing campfire in the Boma; there you will become one with the African nightlife as the hippos come out to graze, and the elephants display their mighty power, protecting their little ones against the danger that lures out there.  The sound of the laughing hyena or the far cry of a jackal will make you realise that you are in the heart of the bushveld.

The Bush Camp

Wake up to the sound of the Fish Eagle calling.  The camping area has 6 spacious camp sites for tents  and/or camping trailers. Additionally the small intimate Bush Camp comfortably sleeps 14 people and consists of four two bed chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms and one A-frame thatch roof open chalet, with 6 beds and a separate communal ablution facility. Next to the Boma area is a fully equipped kitchen.  Built around the core element of a campfire, the rustic Boma offers you the heart of the camp where you can enjoy your meals under African stars. In the summer off season time a splash pool is available

The Tree House

In walking distance from the camp overlooking the Limpopo River, is the Boelamien Tree House built up high in the Anna tree. It is safe and easily accessible and here one can enjoy sundowners whilst experiencing a true African sunset, watching the bushveld come to rest.

Activities

Your stay will be filled with bush walks, bird watching, fishing on the banks of the Limpopo River, game drives or a day visit to Botswana to view elephant herds in their natural habitat.

The 1,800 ha game farm has numerous species of game which include amongst others: Eland, Gemsbok (Oryx), Bushbuck, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Impala, Crocodile, Hippo, Elephant, Kudu and Warthog.

The bushveld is one of the largest and richest bird habitats and Boelamien Safaris is home to 150 species which includes the African Fish Eagle, the Powells Fish Owl and the Witkruisarend (Black Eagle) to name but a few.  A paradise to bird lovers.
